Between April and October, the medieval village of Serrungarina, nestled among the gentle hills of Colli al Metauro, takes on a unique charm each year. From late spring, the ancient stone walls and cobbled alleys come alive with events that celebrate the village’s history and surrounding nature. During this time, visitors can join guided walks to discover medieval architecture and scenic hill paths connecting Serrungarina to nearby villages. In summer, the atmosphere becomes more vibrant and social, with outdoor poetic and cultural moments. Serrungarina hosts small itinerant poetry events, where readings, music, and art installations create evocative experiences under the summer sky. It’s a time when the village transforms into a precious stage for appreciating the blend of art and nature in the Marche countryside. In early September, the village hosts the Angelica Pear Festival, celebrating a fruit harvested between late August and the first days of September. The historic center turns into a marketplace of local excellence: among workshops and taverns, visitors can taste sweet and savory pear-based dishes, creative cocktails, enjoy performances, live music, watercolor and ceramics workshops. But the celebration doesn’t stop there: throughout September, many of the village’s shops and exhibition spaces remain open on weekends, offering exhibitions, tastings, demonstrations, and artistic experiences focused on local culture and the preservation of the land’s produce.
