ACCOMMODATION FACILITIES – Villa del Duca is a private villa with pool in Le Marche just a few kilometers from Urbania, a charming town renowned for its majolica production. The villa is immersed in the countryside in a panoramic position and offers an infinity pool. Inside the furnishings give a touch of modernity highlighting the typical finishes of Le Marche farmhouse. Guests can benefit of equipped areas for al fresco dining, enjoying the natural beauty of the area.
The villa is on the first floor accessible via an external staircase and is set on two levels. The first floor consists of a large living room-kitchen with fireplace, bathroom with shower, two double bedrooms with single bed, a double bedroom with ensuite bathroom with shower, a bathroom with shower. On the mezzanine floor there is an area with a French sofa bed, a bedroom with two single beds and a toilet. An additional folding bed can be added upon request in the living room. A toilet is present in the pool area.

The National Festival of Befana in Urbania is one of the most popular events of this kind in Le Marche and Italy. During the days before Epiphany, the historic center of the city is enlivened by parades of befanas, shows, dances, food stands and the descent of the Befana from the Bell Tower at the end of each day. On the final day of the festival there’s an impressive fireworks display. In mid-September there is the food event Sagra del Crostolo, which is a local specialty based on flour, water, milk and lard, stuffed with cooked vegetables, meats and cheese. In the stands you can also taste Le Marche typical wines and craft beers. The event is accompanied by shows, music, games for children and a competition for the preparation of crostolo.
We verbleven twee weken eind april/begin mei in deze accommodatie. Fantastische host, ruime mooie luxe villa. Erg genoten. Eigen zwembad (beetje frisjes in de lente maar meerdere keren gezwommen alsnog!) en zelfs een heerlijke hottub en mooie open haard in de woning. Prachtige uitzichten en absoluut een prachtige plek om te verblijven. Tripjes naar San Marino en Rimini zeker aan te raden. Zelfs met een elektrische auto hebben we ons in deze regio goed kunnen redden. Genieten geblazen!
Ruhige Lage, herrliche Aussicht, sehr gute Ausstattung, sehr gute Gästebetreuung, mit 6 Personen hatten wir reichlich Platz, es gibt im Garten außer dem Pool auch einen finnischen hot tub. Die Unterkunft ist sehr zu empfehlen!
In the beautiful landscape around Urbania lies the Villa del Duca. A quiet spot with an amazing view. The house is welcoming and spacious with lots of bathrooms. The fire place makes a cold autumn evening nice and warm. The swimming pool is possibly the best in the Italian mountains! From the villa you can make beautiful excursions to Urbino, Arezzo, Gubbio, San Marino. The Piero della Francesca trail goes right through the city and the neighbourhood. Great place for culture and for relaxing!
