PRIVATE STRUCTURE (RENT ONLY) – Villa Petroia is a private villa with swimming pool in Umbria located in the countryside of Gubbio, one of the most beautiful medieval villages in central Italy. Starting from here, during your stay you’ll be able to reach the most characteristic Umbrian cities such as Perugia, Assisi and Spoleto, for unforgettable experiences to be enjoyed at all ages. The villa was born as the home of an English family, who personally took care of the furnishings and equipment. The numerous paintings present are art works of the owner himself, who’s an artist by profession, and give a unique suggestive atmosphere. The property is completely fenced and located in a dominant position, with an amazing view over the valley. The large garden that surrounds the structure has dedicated spaces for outdoor dining, a panoramic swimming pool and is ideal for enjoying a relaxing family holiday.
The villa is set on two floors. On the ground floor there is a large entrance hall, fully equipped kitchen, bathroom with tub, reading room and living room with dining area, both with direct access to the pool area at the back of the villa. An internal staircase leads to the first floor, also accessible via an external staircase at the back of the villa, consisting of two double bedrooms, two twin bedrooms and two bathrooms with shower. In the basement there is the laundry area.

Gubbio is a magnificent medieval city full of historic palaces and churches. Distinguished by a suspended square, the village offers various panoramic points. Not to be missed in the month of May is the traditional Festa dei Ceri, an event deeply felt by the locals, who challenge in a race with the aim of transporting huge wooden structures with candles, up to the Basilica of Sant’Ubaldo. At the end of the race, the party continues in every square and alley with lots of good food, shows and concerts. Sweets passionate can take part in Eurochocolate, the international chocolate festival that takes place in the city of Perugia in the months of March and September. Cooking show, lots of sweets and activities for young and old characterise the event. Among the most popular destinations there is the Lake Trasimeno, the largest lake in central Italy. Surrounded by many small villages with ancient and medieval charm, it is perfect for trekking and trips out of town, but also for relaxing moments on the lake’shores.
