Events

Massa Fermana is a small town in the province of Fermo near Mogliano, between the Sibillini mountains and the Adriatic sea. Mogliano is the service center and offers tourists unmissable appointments with folklore: the Good Friday commemoration, Mogliano 1744 and the Festival of Traditions. The first event has a religious nature and provides the historical representation of the Passion of the Christ thorugh the streets and squares of the town, from the Last Supper to the trial before Pontius Pilate, up to the Crucifixion finally followed by a religious procession. Mogliano 1744 is a historical event that recalls the arrival of soldiers troops of Maria Theresa of Austria in the spring of 1744, concluded with the organization of a large farewell procession through the streets of the country. Between the end of June and early July the borgo is faithfully rebuilt as it used to be in that time and hosts animations, acrobats, music, markets and parades. The Festival of Traditions is dedicated to the recovery of past habits and to environmental protection. It takes place in the river park Santa Croce during the last week of August, from Thursday to Sunday. Four days in which many ancient rural professions are brought back to life through the creation of handmade objects and exhibitions of old tractors, cars and vintage Vespa scooters. There will be food stands offering traditional local dishes and visitors could entertain themselves with various games, songs and dances.

Beautiful home to enjoy some peace and quiet

14 October 2024

Luigi and Maya have built a beautiful house, are incredibly hospitable, readily available for questions and give great suggestions for things to do in the area. Yes, you drive on a dirt road to the house, but the road is perfectly doable (especially if you drive slowly). The house is fully equipped (matches the pictures), the beds were nice, the large fenced garden was a delight for our dogs, not to mention the beautiful view! We enjoyed a wonderful week, so this accommodation is definitely worth it if you want to slow down and enjoy some peace and quiet!

Peace and beauty

7 October 2024

A very peacful place with stunning views and a nice house. Small roads lead up to the house and a car is a must to be able to go anywhere, which is not a problem. The host Luigi was very nice and welcoming.

Definitely worth it 🇮🇹😊

Beautiful location

27 August 2024

Beautiful, secluded location. We were met by the host very late at night, and shown how to get to the place which was up some very steep, windy, dirt roads and would have been tricky to find on our own. We had some difficulty working the AC, and were charged extra for it, we were not made aware of the restrictions in Italy around using AC prior to our trip. Definitely would suggest getting the host to demonstrate how to set up the AC on arrival.

Response from DH VILLAS

Dear Veronica, thank you so much for being our guests at Villa Malu! We’re glad to know oyu had a positive experience in the overall. The house is located in a secluded location immersed in the nature and the access road is a countryroad, as common for most private locations in the hills. We always provide driving instructions and are available for assistance while driving to the property in case of doubts. About the use of AC (optional service at extra charge as described), it is correct that by law in Italy there are restrictions for temperatures both during summer and winter to face global warming and pollution (average temperature not lower than 24 degrees in summer and 22 degrees in winter). However, according to the owner’s explanation, in your case there was an error in using the appliance by setting the system as heating and not cooling. The agency and owner are always available throughout the stay in case of doubts, so we truly hope to have another chance for you to experience a stay at one of our properties. Our best wishes to you all, Alice – DH Villas
