ACCOMMODATION FACILITIES – Villa Giulia is a private villa with pool in Tuscany in the medieval town San Gimignano. Located on the hillside overlooking the vineyards, this facility is the ideal place for families and groups who wish to spend moments of relaxation, not far from the services and the gorgeous valleys of the region. Guests can benefit from a wide garden full of plants and fruit trees where the fenced-in swimming pool with close gazebo stands out. In addition, there are several panoramic outdoor areas that offer the possibility to eat together outside and enjoy moments of refreshing rest. A welcome basket with local typical products an a bottle of wine will be offered upon arrival. The property is entirely fenced-in.

Layout

The structure develops on the ground floor and includes a little mezzanine floor. On the ground floor there is a kitchen with access to the barbecue and wood oven area, a double bedroom with twin beds (joinable beds upon request), three double bedrooms, two bathrooms with shower and a bathroom with tub and shower head. On the same floor there is a wide living room that leads through an internal staircase to the mezzanine floor with sofabed and armchairs. A winding staircase leads to the basement, with direct access to the garden and designated as laundry area with washing machine and dryer.

San Gimignano is a wonderful medieval town located in the heart of Tuscany, not far from the well-known cities of Pisa, Siena and Firenze. The city centre was officially declared part of the UNESCO world heritage. Among the beauties that can be admired within the city there’s the city Cathedral, the local square Piazza della Cisterna, several noble palaces and the renowned towers that mark the city skyline, such as Torri degli Ardinghelli, Torre del Diavolo and Torre di Palazzo Pellari. Also the Town hall and the city museum stand out for their importance. During the summer the city is vibrant with the sounds of several concerts of various genres as well as important festivals centered on music and dance. On the last Saturday of June the event Nottilucente takes place, with events, initiatives and performances of various kind. During the rest of the year the main festivities are the Carnival (between February and March) and the Holy Patrons of the city. Moving from San Gimignano it is possible to see ancient typical towns, like Volterra and San Miniato or to dive into the wonderful landscapes of Val d’Elsa and the Chianti hills.
