PRIVATE STRUCTURE (RENT ONLY) – Villa Doriana is a lovely private villa with pool in Le Marche set on a hill position giving a breathtaking view over the surrounding valley. Its position is ideal to enjoy the peace and tranquility of the countryside, being at a convenient driving distance from renowned tourist attractions such as Urbino, Pesaro, Gubbio and the Frasassi Caves. The structure has been finely renovated keeping its old rural appeal and is surrounded by a private well groomed garden with comfortable outdoor living areas, such as a wide porch and brick barbecue area with wood oven. Being located a few km from the town center of Acqualagna, a popular destination for food and wine tours, you can experience firsthand a real truffle hunting with experts and the taste of Le Marche traditional recipes.
The villa is set on two levels. The ground floor is composed of a wide kitchen with dining area (with air-conditioning) and direct exit to the outside, living room with fireplace (with air-conditioning), bathroom with shower and bath anteroom with washing machine, second living room with direct extit to the porch and staircase to the upper floor. On the first floor there are two double bedrooms, a bedroom with bunk beds and a bathroom with shower.

Acqualagna is known as the Capital of fresh truffle all year long. Acqualagna hosts three different fairs throughout the year: that of Black Truffle in February, that of Black Summer Truffle in August and finally, the most important one dedicated to White Truffle, which takes place since 1965 between the end of October and the first three weekends of November (Saturday and Sunday). The main square of the town is set up with stands selling fresh truffes, fresh and dried mushrooms, truffle sauces and oils. There are also food and drink specialties from all over Italy, handicrafts and stands to taste dishes based on truffle.
We stayed for one week at the lovely, spacious yet cosy villa Doriana. It was spotless clean. The villa is very well equipped and in the kitchen you’ll find everything a cook likes to have. The villa is fresh even when it’s hot ( although our daughter used the airco to sleep) . We spent most time at the spacious veranda reading a book or have a long “aperitivo”. The pool was very refreshing. The view is magnificent . But foremost we loved the hospitality of Doriana and Guiseppe. The most hospitable hosts we’ve met sofar. Doriana welcomed us in her villa and responded very quickly. We enjoyed the interesting and warm conversations. We can recommend you this place without hesitation.
Super responsive and helpful hosts, willing to share inputs of activities to do and sites to visit – As the nearest town is Acqualagna, the capital of Truffles, we strongly recommend going on a truffle hunt. Just ask the hosts, they know exactly who to contact. The House is a fully upgraded farmhouse, with all the modern amenities. The pool is perfect for cooling down and relaxing. But the fantastic view of the valley and mountains is really amazing, it was exactly what we hope for, from the pictures. The last 2,5 km to the house (coming from Acqualagna) is gravel road, but it’s well maintained and can be driven by any standard car (Ford Focus with 4 adults, luggage and bicycles on the tow-bar).

The farm-road (gravel track) to Cagli is fun, and worth it.
