The National Festival of Befana in Urbania is one of the most popular events of this kind in Le Marche and Italy. During the days before Epiphany, the historic center of the city is enlivened by parades of befanas, shows, dances, food stands and the descent of the Befana from the Bell Tower at the end of each day. On the final day of the festival there’s an impressive fireworks display. In mid-September there is the food event Sagra del Crostolo, which is a local specialty based on flour, water, milk and lard, stuffed with cooked vegetables, meats and cheese. In the stands you can also taste Le Marche typical wines and craft beers. The event is accompanied by shows, music, games for children and a competition for the preparation of crostolo.
Great place with incredible view. Big and clean swimming pool. Very good contact with host. I would like to come back here one day.
Lovely house in the hills only a short drive from the small town of Urbania. Great view. Spacy kitchen. Very friendly and helpful owners.
We were a group of 8 friends on a Workshop in Villa Amata and enjoyed the spacious house with perfect equipment and the lovely terrace, garden and pool. Everything is kept up well and the town is easily reached by car and by foot. We warmly recommend Villa Amata for your holidays and for exploring the Marche and Umbria. DH Villas did a great job organizing our stay.
